Overall Rating

Note on Bonuses: Keep in mind that bonuses can be tough to compare because cardrooms offer different types of deals. For example, some cardrooms may offer something like "$30 free on $30 deposit," and others may say "25% free on deposit up to maximum of $50." If you plan to deposit $200, you'd be better off in the second example, but if you plan to deposit less, you might be better off in the first case. In any event, think of the bonus as just one piece of your total decision. Also consider other important elements like playing experience, number of active games, and betting limits. Also remember that in order to be able to withdraw the bonus you need to play a number of raked hands that equals at least five times the bonus amount (this is a common online cardroom practice aimed at preventing players from signing up and immediately withdrawing bonuses).

Paradise Poker

Paradise Poker has been around for quite a while now (in online poker terms) since their opening in 1999. Their time in the business has given them a good amount of experience, and it gives us a lot of confidence in the reliability of both their software and their staff and is an all-around great choice in an online poker room. Ranking very solidly across all of the most important factors in a poker room.

Bonus: First time depositor 25% up to $50. You can achieve the maximum bonus by depositing $200 in your account.

Loyalty Program: Paradise Poker does not currently run a Loyalty Program.

PokerMD Review: This site was 2nd in line to join the online poker world and did it better than anyone else in the early stages. Software that was way ahead however, ended up lagging behind and as other sites came along number 1 became numbers 2 then 3 then 4.

Until recently Paradise was way behind, but they just introduced new multi-table tournament software and their numbers are growing. Still they need to change the slide rule raising procedure to make it user friendly. The good news is they wouldn't be around this long if they weren't to be trusted with cash outs.

Bugsy's Club

Bugsy's Club is located in the UK, so many of it's promotions happen in the middle of the night for people in North America. It gives insomniacs the availability to find good games or tourneys into the early morning. It's affiliated with Poker School Online and is a great place for beginners... Their Chat feature is a side bar, which means you'll never miss a comment as hands are displayed like you do on many other sites.

Bonus:

Loyalty Program: Bugsy's Club does not currently run a Loyality Program.

PokerMD Review: This site is relatively new in the industry but has deep roots. The Bugsy’s Club site, is fueled by the Poker School Online feature of PokerPages a well know poker portal. Playing here gives you the opportunity to play with a lot of newbie’s as the players convert from play money to real money. All games and tournaments are available.

True Poker

True Poker is a very unique product which aims to be true to its name. Its goal is to simulate the experience of playing real poker. If you like rich, 3D visuals, you'll find that True Poker is the place for you. Player traffic is also a strong point at True Poker. The flip side of the beautiful graphics is a slower download.

Bonus: 20% Bonus, up to a total of $50 in free money.

Loyalty Program: True Poker has a Loyalty program and you will earn points by playing at True Poker. You earn one point per raked hand, and the more you play, the higher a status level you can achieve. You can also earn extra points during special promotion periods like early bird Mondays, where you earn double points for each hand.

PokerMD Review: The PokerMD Review will be handled by a new specialist, Peter Costa... Look for this review soon!

Poker Room

This is one of the more unique poker offerings available on the web. It's combination of no-download gaming, exciting graphics, and game selection make Poker Room worth a good look. As well as all of the regular games you would expect, Poker Room also offers BlackJack, Baccarat, Chinese Poker or Pai Gow Poker, Slots, Let It Ride, & Video Poker.

Bonus: First time Depositor 20% of deposit to a maximum bonus of $100.

Loyality Program: Poker Room offers Player Points which you earn by laying real money hands. These points can be converted into real cash and deposited back into your account. The points are earned at different rates, depening on the game and stakes level. For example, you get 1 point for every raked hand of Hold 'Em, and .05 points for every dollar you bet at blackjack. All of your points can be converted to cash or can be used for other promotions and tournaments buy-ins.

PokerMD Review: Poker Room is a no-download game, which is a real plus for MAC users. They have all the games in most varieties. Limit & No Limit too. They also have a pretty good version of Chinese Poker, a great game to play while your waiting for some REAL poker. They have lightly attended tournaments, less people to beat, but of course smaller prize pools. They have all the deposit options as well.

Golden Tiger

Golden Tiger is a solid all-around offering, but not our top choice for online rooms. If you do choose to sign up, you'll have a perfectly fine experience. On the upside, Golden Tiger Poker offers a nice playing experience, good game selection, a wide range of betting limits.

Bonus: $30 when you deposit $30 or 100% Match. This is not a very competitive offer and is probably best for those which are interested in playing lower stakes games.

Loyality Program: Golden Tiger does not currently run a Loyality Program.

PokerMD Review: Golden Tiger is powered by MicroGaming who’s been around the online casino market for years. A big player in that arena means your money is safe, a very important feature. The tournaments at this point are all SnG’s. Live play offers Limit, No Limit and Pot Limit. They also give you multiple ways to reach support that shows a very pro-active desire to be great in customer service.
